Word out of The Netherlands that Heineken International has made Newcastle Brown Ale available in their Draught Keg format. That adds a new twist to the current crop of Heiney/Heiney-light options to the Beertender.
Bummer is that it is in “pilot mode” in Chicago, Minneapolis and SoCal. What’s wrong with Bellevue, WA?
Now that Newcastle is out, Zagorka cannot be far behind!
WSJ has an interesting coverage of this news, Beertender, and the general trend of “innovation” for beer packaging here.
I stumbled upon the New Castle Droughtkeg at my local liquor store and immediately bought a Beertender. I just set it up and its Fantastic!

I stumbled on this post while looking for a BeerTender w/o the Heineken logo. My husband bought a New Castle Droughtkeg yesterday outside of New Haven, CT, so hopefully they are nationwide now. He calls it his new best friend.

A man may lead a horse to the water, but he cannot make it drink.
