The New New York Times Reader

I’ve been a fan of the NY Times Reader for a while. It’s a great way to get your Times fix on the go with a very snappy and readable experience.

Good news and bad news. The good news is that version 2 is out. Bad news is that it’s now on Adobe Air platform rather than the Microsoft WPF platform. Oh well.

Still love the Times.

I confess I'm not sure what advantages this offers over the perfectly serviceable mobile.nytimes.com site--which runs on anything with a browser. Failing that, the free avantgo.com service allows you to view select sections of the Times either online or offline. Methinks the Gray Lady doesn't yet understand new media pricing...
