I wrote about our new Dyson vacuum back in May of 2006 – over two years ago!
Did you know you are supposed to clean that little disc filter in the Dyson every six months? Me neither. My wife mentioned that the vacuum wasn’t working well so I took a look.
I popped open the top part of the dirt chamber and there is a plastic disc in there. I took out the foam insert and ran it under the faucet for a bit and let it dry. Also, I ran the water through the plastic disc screen.
The lower part of the dirt chamber has a bunch of tiny holes and many of them were clogged, so I took a small nail and cleared those out.
Lo and behold it now works like a charm. Just a about two years overdue.
