That happened to me fresh out of the box. For a split second I thought all the screaming 12 year olds were right. Then I took a deep breath and checked all of my connections. Snapped the video cable in firmly and breathed a deep sigh of relief.

Q's

Yeah but mine just happened today and it has been the 3rd time this morning.
But only 2 lights were there and were not blinking.

x box makes a loud gridding niose when loading a game then screen says unable to read disk

Q

Mine won't stop blinking i've tried everything

Nathan

Two blinking red lights is nothing to worry about either, it just means that your Xbox has reached its internal core temperature and you should probably clean out the heat sinc.
But you will have to take it apart for that.

i had the four flashin lights on my 360. i disconnected everything and put it back together. It still won't work.

I have four blinking red lights, my Xbox 360 console is also seeming really warm. Everytime i turn on the game system the xbox logo shows on the screen then freezes and a loud beep occurs and the screen goes black then slightly afterwards four blinking red lights appear. It seems like when the Xbox overheats the lights appear, but i thought three lights were the "ring of death" {hardware failure}. Also, after i try and restart the console i get a blank screen, I have tried more than one Audio/Video cable fore my Xbox and nothing seems to help the outcome.

IF ANYONE HAS ADVICE PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT pitbull0567@aol.com

I hope that this is an easy fix problem that is like the topic, but it seems like my four blinking light experience is a bit more of a bother.

Ouch. If you haven't fixed it yet, trying unplugging and plugging back in the video cable.

zack

when i turn my xbox360 on 3 blinking red lights apear in the circle power button thingy. i head that means either hardware or power failure, and i got a replacement cord (175 watt). it didnt do anything. does this mean i need a whole nother xbob360? plz help me

Digital Dad

Sounds like HW failure. Suggest you go to xbox.com and check out the return/repair process. If you bought it at Costco, you should be able to just bring it back.
