It's not often that I get to reference my brother's blog, Splitting the Adam, but he recently referred to the term "schleptop," a big, clunky, old laptop.
Speaking of schleptop's, my Dad bought another new PC. He bought a new PC back in April but now he wanted one that he could take with him as he drove across the country visiting grandkids, etc.
My suggestion was to go big, way big, since he wouldn't be toting it around airports. The new class of 17" widecsreen notebooks are impressive and are geared toward consumers who want an all-in-one "movable" rather than mobile device.
He ended up with the Toshiba Satellite P25-S676. It has the 17" display with a 3.40 GHz Pentium 4, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, and a DVD drive. And it's 10 lbs!
Now THAT is a schleptop, but a very nice one.
Hey ! am I glad to vist your blog ! from this I can get some information and facts that I didn’t know prior to. You made my day. Thank you rather much!
