Surprisingly, the primary hard drive on my home office PC filled up today. These days drives seem pretty bottomless so this was unexpected. I had a 75 GB and 40 GB in there and the primary drive holds all of my photos (about 8000) and all of my music (about 40GB).
I copy/backup stuff from the 75GB primary to the secondary. After a bit of poking around I freed up 2GB so all is well.
I am seeing 250GB drives for $200 on eBay - amazing! Might be time for an upgrade. Speaking of eBay and storage, I did recently buy an external USB 2.0 drive case there, just the case, not the drive.
I can buy a 3.5" drive and pop it in there and now I have a very high storgage "portable" drive. I am planning to implement a more sophistciacted backup system using this but I'm still working out the details.
Wouldn't it be cool to have an external drive that was encased in a fireproof box with just a USB 2.0 and power cable coming out of it? No pun intended.
